"Life's a voyage that's homeward bound'

Home is comfortable. It is safe, accessable, and accepting. Home is familiar and unique. Home is all this and so much more. It is impossible to describe the exact feeling one feels when they are home because it is different for everyone. Home has a different meaning for each individual person, and no two people are the same. Home doesnt have to mean a house, or the place where you spent the longest part of your childhood. As a child i moved around a lot, but i never considered myself "homeless" or felt as though i was missing out on that homeliness feeling. It may be because of this that my idea of a home veers away from the conventional "4 walls and roof" concept so many people have adapted. If you were to ask me now what comes to my mind when i think of home i would answer with words like Australia, beach, mum, paddington (my cat), palm trees and numerous other things. this is my personal view on my home. like i said, everyone's is going to be different. what's your idea of home? what are the words that come to mind when someone mentions home to you?

  1. I really like the image you put :). I also really like the somewhat abstract meaning you give to home, because I totally agree with it. I don't think home is necessarily a place, but more of a mindset and a feeling. Home is when you're with the ones you love and when you feel safe and secure. P.S. I love the name of your cat! I remember watching Paddington Bear!

  2. Nicely said. My idea of home involves a lot of nothing to do, in the middle of the woods, with my mother and my sister, and of course, my dog Bailey. I'm not too sure what will happen once they are no longer part of the same home, however I'm sure I'll adapt okay.

  3. My idea of home is thousands of miles away, in Nepal, with my dog Tony. But also here in the dorms. I think it's about surrounding yourself with people who care and who you care about.

  4. Home creates impact at two places.
    1) Outside ( at a physical place)
    2) Inside ( somewhere in our heart )

So whenever the Outside Home fades away the Inside Home awakens.
This Inside home makes us feel, cry, laugh, imagine and creates all the instances of Outside Home.
